As officers steward we had to take the menu to the 12 to 4 watch for their lunch which was served up for them at 7 bells.
Most ordered but very few ever turned up.
Great stuff, the other steward and myself would go to the main galley at noon to see what was ready for them but not eaten.
We fed like lords on all the very best.
