    Default 'T' boats

    I sailed on the Tetela on her maiden voyage in 1960 then on the Turrialba in 60/61
    anyone remember Ken Sinclair who was 2nd at that time and C/Eng Jerry Waters?
    and what about C/Eng Jimmy Parker .

    Yes thats the Tetela and the second black and white photo is of her unloading bananas at Wilmington Los Angeles California.in the 60's
    by the way who bent her? she was in one bit when I left?

    None of us could nail every port we got to as the brain matter gets greyer but after reading through the link i got to everyone of these ports some on a few occasions Regards Russ Terry.

    1901-1911 Avonmouth - Kingston - Costa Rica.
    1901-1916 Canary Islands - Liverpool / London / Avonmouth.
    1901-1967 Avonmouth - Kingston - Central America (Ports: Port of Spain, La Guaira, Santa Marta, Cristobal, Puerto Limon, Tela, Hamilton, Bermuda and smaller Jamaican ports)
    1901-1912 Manchester - Jamaica - Central America.
    1912-1965 Garston - Jamaica - Central America.
    1926 Regular calls at Rotterdam and Bremerhaven introduced.
    1927-1931 London / Garston - Canary Islands.
    1931-1939 Southampton included in the Rotterdam / Bremerhaven route.
    1939-1940 Avonmouth - Cameroons.
    1946-1964 Europe / London / Avonmouth - Cameroons.
    1949-1967 Inbound became Kingston - Southampton - Rotterdam.
    1967-1988 Southampton became the UK terminal.
    1988 to date Portsmouth - Surinam the main service.

    Hi terry I try very hard to support them its getting better I hope and woll not belong before we'll be up there beating the reds!
    my first trips were out of Garston Docks and during a short holiday in Scouseland we went down there but they wouldn't allow us in for a look see!

    Russ, If you ever get down hear again mate let me know, I will give you a tour of one of the best Trophy rooms in Europe, I remember going up to your place i am sure you know who your hero was at your club, When i mention having a beer in the Copt Hill pub. Regards Terry.
