I think i posted before, with regard to burial at sea, we have an area South of the Island which apparently is licensed for those who wish to be buried at sea. Some years back now Nicholas Monsserat had to be taken out a second time, as he came back ashore on to the island, insufficient weights first time round, kt

###having a good drink a few years ago with a true buddy in shields i said to him in a very sincere way ......when i pop my clogs do you think it would be ok for me to ask you humbly george.....if you would throw my ashes of shields pier.......in the maudlin way we can get when a few are consumed...he said i would be proud to do this for you my old buddy .......at a small gathering of friends later i introduced him as george my mate who has sworn to toss me off on shields pier.......each time i go to shields i remind george who i must say tries extremely hard to take it in good spirit .........cappy
