    Default Frederick William Rees

Its with great sadness to report the passing of my uncle Fred who Crossed The Bar on the 9 February 2018
Fred started his sea career in 1945 on the Runnymede Park
Fred jumped ship in New Zealand in 1950 while working on the Kairoura after the ship sailed Fred gave himself up to the police.
After spending a month in jail Fred stayed in New Zealand were he meet my Auntie Irene settling down to have a family
    Living in Palmerston North
While living in New Zealand Fred Worked on the Rangatira Aratika and Arahura
Fred Worked on the First R/O Ferry Aramoana between to north and south island from 1962-1994 when he retired Fred and Irene went to live in Woolgoolga NSW
Will be sadly missed by all his Liverpool Kiwi and Aussie Familys
    Fair winds Uncle Fred

Sad to hear of Frederick's "Crossing of the Bar".

O’er the glad waters of the dark blue sea,
Our thoughts as boundless, and our souls as free,
Far as the breeze can bear, the billows foam,
Survey our empire, and behold our home!
