    Hi Ray, Welcome Aboard...Took this photo of the "Himalaya" in Sydney Early Fifties I was on the "Port Adelaide " at the time, also
    of the "Gothic" Arriving Auckland with the Queen on board 1953.I was on the"Port Napier" at the time. was nice to be in the right

    Welcone to the site and thanks for listing your details.
    Good to have new Blood on the Crew list.
    I was also on the Dunnottar Castle but later than you,i did the last Voyage on the old Girl and it was also my first trip,this was in 1958,

    My late Uncle was on the Himalaya as well around that time ,dont know if you may have known him,he was known to all on board as Dusty, worked as Bedroom Stwd and also then in the Bar. (George Van der Poll) and ex South African.

    Sailed on the Imperial Star one way longest trip I did still haven't signed off, after 50 years.

    I was on many other ships going up the ranks second cook and baker with M V Beaverdell and ships cook on the Esso Westminster Chief Steward on the Sugar Importer and then going on to be a Purser Chief Steward with British and commonwealth in the 1960's Sorry not too good with this technology hope someone gets it.

    I was on HMS Worcester from 55 to 59 so saw most of your ships passing. Himalaya would have been in Tilbury, my mother was in her out to Colombo in June 59 when she damaged a propellor in Suez

    Hi Anthony...When were you on the TEV "Beaverdell"? I did 14 trips on her between Sept '57 & May '59.
    the last 8 as 2nd/Stwd, got trapped in the ice one trip, had an icebreaker to get us out,
