    Mark,
I put your name into the National Archive Records and nothing was found.
Someone will come along shortly and give the details I was looking for.
    All the best.

Depends on his time Mike,if he was still at Sea after 72 there will be no records.
    Cheers

    Hi Mark
Welcome to the site and thanks for the info you have supplied!
What were your Years in the Merchant Navy please,as said if as above then no records will be found.
    Cheers Enjoy the site!

So looking at age now ,would have been born about 1958 which would put him at Sea after 72 I guess??

Born in 1957, seems a long time ago now!

Yes, I was at sea between 73 and 78 then left to go into diving. Miss those days though, probably some of the best of my life.

What is frustrating for me is I can enter my details on the site to find your seaman's pouch, And I get my first few trips one of which was 12 months then the trail goes cold after 72, Which may be coincidence or not but as a lot will no the discharge books where changed in 1972. I did read somewhere but cant remember where that all seaman's records from in my case Mann Island pool when it closed down, Where thrown in a skip not thought worthy of keeping hold of
