    Hi Des

Good to see Tas Bull getting some acknowledgement.Being an Oz ex seaman himself
including British ships. the first one ,out of Barry docks,
he did stirling work also ,in helping many crew victims ,of dodgy ,flag of convenience ships. Usually ,underpaid or never paid ,poor Asians, Filipinos etc.
His son Anders ,followed in his footsteps as General Sec,
For those in Melbourne Anders is mainly responsible for achieving the restoration ,with many volunteers, of the sailing ship. which ,if still there. was berthed in the Yarra ,just below, the Spencer st. Bridge.

Hi Evan ... that would be the POLLY WOODSIDE , Belfast built , 3-masted , iron hulled barque and a very fine restoration indeed ... been a while since I was a visitor to her , will have to go see her again the next time I am in Melbourne ... thanks' for the reminder.

    Cheers

    Norm
