    Yes, that is correct. I was sent to them when I failed my 2nd mates first time around. Had a wonderful time - loads of responsibility and more ship handling than I had previously experienced. Came in handy at my 2nd Mates re-sit when the examiner asked me how many anchors my last ship had and I told him "between 3 and 12!" Both ships were anchor-handlers and supply boats.

    If in the 70s then you will be well conversant with pelican hooks then , and 28 lb sledge hammers and crowbars. Can remember seeing the harrier and hustler. I started off in the North Sea on anchor handlers in wimpeys and finished up in Seaforth maritime. A lot of the tonnage from the North Sea when it became under powered finished up down here in Oz on bareboat charter. Cheers JS
