Paul, I lived over the road from a guy here in Liverpool i am going back to late 60s early 70s, His name was Len Roberts his wife was named Pat, They had two daughters, I was told many moons ago he became a mayor in Lincoln, Does his name ring any bells with you, Regards Terry.

Hi Terry Sorry I am not aware of him as I was at Nautical School. Late 60 and early 70s. Then joined Mobil Shipping Company as a Cadet. Worked my way up to Chief Officer and my Wife Susan came with me. I left Mobil because I did not want to leave my wife at home for 4 to 6 months at a time. So became a Cargo Surveyor with Saybolt UK. Loading and unloading Crude Oil or Chemicals from the Ships with the Tankers Chief Officers. Kind Regards Paul.
