    Yes I was there when the two gasoline barges collided in the fog and blew up the bridge across the Severn River phew what a night that was any one else there at that time 25th October 1960 overall my time at vindicatrix was a great and memorable experience

    I arrived not long after that and there were still a few there who saw it all unfold.
    It must have been a rough night for all concerned.

    Some of the deck crew would count down their time there by the spans on the bridge, then came the day when some were missing, whoops!
