    Hi there John. I was a winger, I think. The name sounds familiar . T/C Steward. We looked grand in our uniforms, bow ties and all.

    Thanks for your information. Yes i was born in Braamfontein. I don't have my seaman's book anymore as I donated it to the museum along with my payslips and some menus which I had. Thanks again.

    Hi there Bill. Thanks for your reply. Yes, she was a fine ship, and we had good times. I remember, think the maiden voyage at one of the sittings the ship listed heavy and almost all of the tables contents slid off. What a doing. Then we pored water on the tablecloths and relayed the tables.
