I was with Seaforth Maritime, signed on as a CRO on the back of my Class 2 Cert. Stadive was on its last legs as a North Sea diving vessel, still owned by Shell and manned by Seaforth and with Subsea as the diving contractor. We did the Brent Spar job with the battle with Greenpeace. Fun times. I was made redundant when Stadive was handed over to Petroserve of Brazil and was making ready to cross the pond to Brownsville for modification to a well service and wireline vessel. Heard that there was a fire on board during this work. Twenty odd years on now so don't think she will be around now. Hope this helps JWS. Thanks for getting in touch. RGK.

There wasn’t a Warwick Hammerton there when you were was there.?? He was Radio Officer all the time I was on the Seaforth Clansman which was on charter to the MOD. He left there when they were doing away with Radio Officers and converting them to electronic whizz kids. He lived in the Isle of Wight. Was the uncle John still going or did she go before the Stadive. Cheers and thanks again. JWS.

Don't think we had an RO on Stadive in '96. The DP ops/mates did that and the medic did the admin. Cant remember when the UJ was in the North Sea But she is now laid up in Mobile.. Ralph
