    Welcome to the site, I did my first four trips on one of Hains the Trevose, did you do the Aussie run on yours?
    If you look down the forums you will see Shipping Companies, Hain's is there.

    Hi Des yes I did the Aussie on Trebartha 9th jan to the 1st june that was my 2nd trip it was a great ship to be on were u on any more Hain.s ships

    Hi Ron.
    No I wasn't on anymore, mores the pity. I ended up mainly on Tramps across the Atlantic, then Tankers as I sailed out of Swansea, some North East coasters. Then on the NZ coast from 57 to 66.

    Sorry Ron can't remember names it was mostly nick names, and yes it was a great ship six hatch McGregor twin jumbo.s, single berth cabin great crew, brilliant run far east India USA. Still remember laying in my bunk watching the sea rushing past the porthole, No TV. As i am typing one name comes to mind Chas E Pratt, the master, and Whittaker also master. hope someone catches up with you who was aboard same period as you. Regards RM.
