    Hi Martin.
Welcome to the site hope you enjoy and join in all the banter and talk of bygone days at sea.
There are plenty of tall tales. I was on the Wave Baron in the early 50s, a few on the site were on the RFA, if you go to the top of the page on the right hand side you will see a blank with a spy glass just print the name of your RFA ship in there it will come up with a post of the same ship if there is one.
    Cheers Des

    Hi Martin,
I was on the Galahad and the Lancelot in the 1970s with 3 Commando Bde, going to Norway and exercises around the top of Scotland and Browndown beach; had some nice weather going to Norway. (Not) Was on all the troop carrying ship. From 1977 to the 1990s. I was in the Merchant Navy before joining up. We use to find the Chinese crew quite funny, well not quite so, when they would shut the galley food hatch dead on time; no ifs, not buts. The bunk beds at three high, not so good trying to get to the top bunk after a few beers. Ian (them were the days)
