Bit brief on detail I thought . Mentions only one day,in the Year.

Though the Dis. A. number ,suggests , round mid Forties? Era.

Think , wasn't it , well into the sixties, when, Chief Stewards.Became known as Purser?

My first three years of paper discharges from January 1947 on British ships (with a stint on Australian ships) prior to forgoing my repatriation back to Australia, would have been, I think, in the R300,000 had I first signed on in the UK. Terrence, that gives you about somewhere around seven years at sea before the Tortuguero.
