    Default Brian Lloyd

Just received an email from a Ken Tilbury who was on the mv crystal cube in 1960 but also has friend who was on the cube in 1963, the same time I was there. I have emailed both of them for more information.( I was 3rd engineer from august 1963 to December 1963) this was my first email from other ex navy guys.

I was on the Crystal Cube around 60 not long after the strike, we went over to Quebec for grain for leghorn Italy, then to Haiti for sugar then Liverpool. We had a quite a time in Canada, something went wrong with the shaft, ice I think. The Skipper was a great guy a Scotsman, we came down to breakfast one morning and the mess room was done out party style, the Skippers wife had just a baby.

Re. Brian Lloyd... Have recollections of a Lloyd think it was on one of Walter Runcimans in the late 50"s. Cant remember if first name was Brian though. He would of been a junior engineer at time, think maybe 4th or 5th. Just noticed this post. Regards John Sabourn
