    Default Beaverdell

    Hi Den
Three trips on the Beaverdell, Wow, either it was summertime or you were catering staff, I did one trip on her in winter, that was enough. Capt Walgate was skipper, sold us as much beer as we wanted, more than enough, the only time I ever went ashore to sober up.
I see that we are neighbours, if you see me sailing by when you are having a good fishing day throw one my way

    Default Maple Cove

I did 2 trips on Maple Cove in 1954 before she went back to her original name Beaver Cove, most of the deck crowd were CPR men and knew all the bars at Antwerp,
We were in a bar, this AB knew one of the waitresses every time she passed our table she playfully patted this AB's head.
He said to her "If you do that again I will pull your draws off".
Next time she passed again she clipped his head
The AB jumped up ,grabbed the waitress pulled her skirt up pulled her draws down then bit her on the cheek of her ****.
We were all doubled up laughing.

Did 4 trips on the Beaverash, 68-69. little ship in a big ocean. Nice seeing Canada and did 1 voyage to the West Indies, charter for Harrison Line.
Nice to do 5 week trips when it's your 1st job after leaving school. Still got home sick though.
