    Default LPG Lincolnshire

    Hi
just wondering if you may have been on her at this time!

    June 7th 1977

    LNG Challenger
    (now Asake Mari)

Struck by ship LPG Lincolnshire while lying at anchor (or
moored?) off the coast of Bahrain. Minor damagc to starbward
rear quarter. No cargo released. Believed to be in LPG
    service when this occurred.

    Cheers

    Hi,

I sailed in total five trips on the good ship Lincolnshire, she was my favourite ship in the Bibby fleet.
Quite upsetting when she went for scrap in 2002 at Alang in India. I have several photographs of
    her if required.

    Cheers

I sailed on the Lincolnshire in 1997/1998. Great ship and great bunch of lads. I remember your good self Geoff. I was there as cadet and you used to send faxes home for me in the days before we all had mobiles.

    Hi Nigel,

Yes Dave Creamer was the captain .. do you remember the Christmas party in the bar [The Swamp]?
We flew out to her at Houston from Shannon.. there was a Beoing 707 and a 747 of Air Lingus and we
ended up on the 707.. a bit cramped for such a long journey.. my first trip on the old girl... really enjoyed
my time.. have a photograph of us all in the bar if you want a copy please let me know.

    Cheers

    Geoff

    Default linclnshire

I sailed on the Lincolnshire as 4th engineer from Aug 72 to Jan 73. Don Gosden was old man the Chief was Paul Cutler? The 2/E was Norman Pinkney and the two 3/E were Raggsey Radcliff and Leo Coltman.
On that trip the swimming pool leaked into the bar and some one came up with the bars name!
I sailed on her again as 2/E in 76 I cannot remember the names of any one on her at that time. I must have been working to hard!
The last time I saw her was in Panama. I was Chief on a ship called the Pacific Sandpiper and we passed her while she was at anchor off Balboa. I cannot remember the year but I was amazed that she was still going.
