At AGM of B&C it was announced that the order for three tankers had been cancelled and the order was replaced for conventional dry cargo ships.
It was also announced that B&C had founded a new company in Bermuda, Neptune Shipping Company. The tankers would have been placed under Neptune Shipping Co. The dry cargo ships would also be placed under that company ownership.
Two ships from John Brown, were the CLAN MACINDOE and the CLAN MACNAIR.
The two tankers were ordered as the SCOTTISH STAG and SCOTTISH TEAL and were to be of 12,000 gross tons. and 559'.0" x 72'4" x 30'2".
