Hi Bob Jimmy Grace was Johnny Ryders cousin, Harry would be getting on now Know all of them all good mates. Johnny Ryder as been dead a long time now went to his funeral, used to live close by him down the South coast good mate of mine still only young when he went. R.I.P. Good bunch of lads. Cheers.

Bob#21, Charlie#23 I wonder if the Ryder you mentioned was any relly to Jack Ryder of Avondale who was a wharfy and had a private museum in Avondale which incorporated a cinema. Jack would collect anything. He had a lot of bits and pieces from a pub in Lorne street including the floor of Welsh slate, cannon balls off the bounty and an ancient fire truck with old brass helmets. he came into De Bretts Shortland street one day and was all chuffed because he had just acquired some old style cardboard milk bottle tops. The ones that had a small perforated circle off centre to poke your finger through to open it up. So much more stuff out there. I believe his son still runs the place for private functions. Cheers
