    Hi Robert,

While a service number would be very useful and would help the records people it is not a problem if you don't have it. Fingers crossed.

    Regards

The RN documents appear quite straight forward, start date to end date, establishments / ships etc. The RN version of training /development etc.

EG: Commis Chef - Chef de Cuisine / Trainee and onward.

    Hope this helps.

I could understand 39 - 45 being wartime, hope someone else can explain more esp from 1931.

Hello again Robert, trying to fill in other years of your father's life as requested. Just need you to confirm I'm looking at the correct chap. Your grandparents names and your mother's Christian name would be most helpful. Date of marriage 1934? Also there's a chap called Robert Edward Conway Christian Isle Of Man too, could that be him? Same birth year.
