Tattoos what might they havel looked like
I am researching THOMAS BEAN OF HULL DOB 1887 , His CR10 record of about 1920 says he has a tattoo of a British Flag on his right arm and a "LADY" on his left , Could anyone suggest what the LADY might have looked like? Eg full length or head and shoulders , naked or clothed . I assume it was a stock image from a tattoo pattern book and I have no idea whether it was done in Hull or on his travels most of which seem to have been to Scandinavia or Holland , Belgium or France
We can never be certain but a knowledgeable guess would be welcome

Re: Tattoos what might they havel looked like
Thanks to all who have replied . The tattoo information sources are very helpful and so are the ship details . As a newcomer to this area of research I have struggled with crew lists etc . I have found some T BEAN entries on crew lists but have no means of access to ships logs to tell me about voyages etc . The Holbein detail is very interesting most of the other ships seem to have travelled HULL to Scandinavia or the coast of northern Europe or the Baltic . For what its worth the other ships I have linked with T Bean are ORISTANO ,CITO , FULLERTON , KATHLEEN LILLY (RENAMED LILY) , SELBY AND VOLTURNO ( of which there seemed to have been two with this name and there is no trace of T BEAN on the crew list of the one that caught fire in the Atlantic). But I have little experience in this area of research so any comments would be very welcome
