Leaves a lot to be desired. They always have this loophole -for the benefit of the country so and so cannot be revealed. The board looks like the old boys association and were probably all graduates from the same monkey house in Cambridge. They could be called the untouchables I suppose. To have an enquiry go on for so long shows it is just delaying tactics until either the general public forget it, or the accused die or have received whatever honours they hope to get, to enable them to get the best seats in the best restaraunts. Justice is seldom done when it comes to the hierarchy. History books will be adjusted to accommodate them. I thought the Costa Concordia Enquiry was a long and overdue and unnecessary time devouring hearing, but this one certainly takes the biscuit. Thought the Bliar Enquiry was over and done with. Certainly hasn't by all appearances affected his life style.. JS

If it was Alison Saunders our DPP in charge of the Chilcot enquiry we would not be told anything at all with the excuse 'Its not in the public interest' End of story.

The amount Sir John is being paid per day would keep me and my adopted kids going for about 60 days! And I'm flat out raising even that much. Because unfortunately, according to my latest sales figures just received, most of the people who have told me they had bought/were about to buy one of my books, have not in fact done so. Sad, but human I suppose. I'm now trying to sell short stories to some newspapers. Wish me - and the kids - luck.

Just as a matter of interest, what is the Chilcot Enquiry? Another 'job for the boys' or something serious?

Hi Braid.
It would have been cheaper for the British Govt to have jailed Blair for life over Iraq, the same as they did with Hess during the war, I have read numerous books about Hess but still can't say what went on. Save the country heaps of money.

#11 Des the same as most could never understand, believe he was also classed as a war criminal. although spent most of the war years in Scotland. Maybe he was accused of going to poison the water used for making whiskey. Never seemed to come out of the Official Secrets bag. Rumour had it he was either an illegal immigrant or was looking to make a peace treaty. No second thoughts about tossing in Gaol, if did that now with an illegal immigrant would have the same country he came from accusing of not letting him have his human rights. He was always kept incommunicado for some reason. The press must have got cold feet and chased easier stories to fabricate. Cheers JS

Put Tony Blair in jail for his lies regarding Saddam Hussains weapons of mass destruction!!!!
That's disgraceful maligning such a great politician who never told a lie in his life and who would appear before the Chilcot inquiry to answer any and all questions, if only he could make time in his busy schedule of solving middle east peace problems, building up his property empire, making speeches on the world stage, ensuring his wife's legal practice has enough stupid EU regulations to keep her firm in business making a fortune for her, for years to come.
This man will never reveal the truth behind his decision to start a war the results of which are still being felt today with the growth in extreme 'slam terrorism.
Jail is to good for him, he should be made to stand alone on the Syrian/Iraq border waving a white flag and shouting "now come on chaps, this beheading and mass murder is really not on you know". That is about the level of his usefulness these days.
