View Full Version : Cut Price Cruisers

Jim Brady

Costa Cruises have slashed the cruise prices by as much as 80% in an attempt to win back their customers. As much as 1.000 is being knocked off the price of many cruises.A week long cruise on the Costa Deliziosa around the Med now just 149 per person.A week in the Adriatic on the Costa Fortuna down from 999 to just 199. Thats just a couple of the offers. A Costa spokesman said "Despite the impact the Concordia accident caused,we are recording positive signals in some markets.Costa remains a powerful brand"

I think we need to be very clear what we are talking about here Jim. Cut price 'Cruisers' or 'Cruises'.

Thanks for your observation Bill,if you have another look at the post you will see that I tried to edit it for that reason but for some reason I was not able to.In any case nobody on this site to my knowledge worry about spelling mistakes or in the correct use of grammar,so realy I need not have worried.
Regards.

Oh and Tony , dont take it to heart , but the little Chineese cleaners in Hong Kong were much handier than most of them that signed on in the Uk , You had to shower after contact though , as those girles used to get heavy oil everywhere , and I mean everywhere !!!

DAM, ! I missed out again, was sad really as most companies did not carry european engine room hands on the far east run, think the goverment should have paid us as envoys, all the good race relations we made, maybe thats why its gone downhill since no more merchant navy, apparently Philippine crews rarely go ashore, save or send all there money home. 16,000 buys a nice house there.:th_thth5952deef:

Thanks for the info Jim. Not that I ever would want to sail on one of those cattle carriers but the prices seem
very low. Can you forward a link ?. I cannot find any reference to such prices anywhere on the internet.

John, from the tone of your post it sounds like you dont believe it,if you are not interested and would'nt do a cruise on them anyway why are you searching the net for the prices.I can only tell you what I read in the paper I certainly did'nt make it up.The only link I can give you is ben.griffiths@sundaymirror.co.uk I hope he can point you in the right direction for what you wish to Know.

Thanks for your observation Bill..

Jim,

I think you totally misread my post. I am not in the slightest bit interested in correcting other peoples grammar or spelling. If you read the post again I am sure you will see the intended import.

Bill, with respect, I think most on here knew what I meant and possibly I did take exception to being corrected by you.Had it been a lesser mortal who corrected me I would've accepted it jokingly!!!

Sometimes it is a slip of the `fginger` on the keyboard. Ones finger sometimes cover two keys..
"cruisers" the e and r are next to each other, so the finger overlaps from the `e` to include the `r`hence `cruisers` instead of `cruises`
Hope this solves the problem.
Cheers
Brian

DAM, ! I missed out again....

They way I understood it the bilge cleaners would service the engine room guys for a consideration to Mamma San , and Like Tesco's you got a dose and got an extra one free , Never tried it my self Tony , but I was assured that it was a small sum of cash , Dhobie Powder , lux soap etc .

Dhobi dust went further than the makers intentions, little did they know. ha ha, :th_thth5952deef:

Jim

I don't think Bill had any intention of correcting your spelling (or typo) he was I think, having a bit of fun on a play of words, with your title referring to "cut price cruisers", as in some parts of the world prostitutes are known as cruisers, (in the USA the clients' are also known as cruisers) so lets take it as the joke it was intended, because I don't think anyone on this site corrects other peoples spelling, as most are a slip of the digit on the keyboard of which we are all guilty, knowing that we've done it but cannot go to the bother of correcting it, because when we try the whole message disappears into the ether or so it seems.

So its back to the bar lads and have another drink! and if we do make a typo which could throw a different aspect on the subject matter then we can expect someone to make a comment on it, and the comment would have no malice in its content, but would be considered messroom banter (I hope!)
