Re: Old age and depression
Well I don't think many on this site are depressed, must be the sea air we breathed as young men, or it could be we were never in a position to feel sorry for ourselves so didn't get depressed, could be that we never blamed others for our own mis-fortunes, could be that we are just too hornery to get depressed, or could be that we count our blessings and take life for what it is, could be that we just worked too bloody hard and didn't have time to get depressed, I just love the puzzle of life and what it throws at you.

Re: Old age and depression
re #34...Hi Doc, that's Elaine, the youngest. I caught her father bashing her with his fists when she was just a baby, and she's been with me ever since. Her father was quite happy to get rid of her. She is now getting lots of 'excellents' at school. I don't give much of a damn what happens to me from here on in, but my current small source of income will dry up before end of this year. So I'm really worried about what will happen to Elaine, her sister Vinoria and cousins etc after that, if I can't sell my books. Unfortunately the big publishing houses have things tied up pretty tightly. But if site members could buy a book, every little would help.

Re: Old age and depression
Men like that (Well if you can call them Men) Braid are the Scum of the Earth, how can anyone do such a thing to a helpless Child!
I hope he got some of what he deserved!
The poor little mite, but so glad to hear that she is in your care now and being well looked after!
Those that read that post of yours Briad,I hope that it may just incite a wee bit more effort on their behalf and get some more here on site to assist with the Funds,by purchasing a Book, gosh so many here I am sure more can be done Lads!
Dig deep for the sake of those poor Kids!
Just think of your own,and what you would do to help if such was the case!
I am posting this on my own bat as I feel this is a case of someone who really does need Funds to assist the Children!
Cheers ALL and thanks for any who can afford to Buy a Book, and may step up to the plate from here on in!
My Heart goes out to these poor Kids!
